About Ambris Europe

Ambris Europe was formed in 2020 in order to deliver dedicated wholesale service solutions to our broker clients within the European Union. Our team consists of specialists with long experience, technical insight, market intelligence and a desire to create bespoke wholesale solutions that enable our clients to offer an exceptional service to their customers.

For over 40 years our principle market for European business has been at Lloyd’s and since 2018 it has been a requirement that all insurance risks located in the EEA should be written by Lloyd’s Insurance Company S.A. (“Lloyd’s Europe”)* and not by Lloyd’s underwriters. Based in Brussels, Lloyd’s Europe is authorised and regulated by the National Bank of Belgium; it was therefore a logical step for Ambris EU to be established and regulated in Brussels.

Ambris EU is a wholly owned subsidiary of AMBRIS LLP, an international broking house based in the City of London. Ambris is owned solely by its partners and places its people in the primary position to create innovative and thoughtful answers for our clients. Our international wholesale expertise places us in a unique position to meet and adapt to our clients’ particular needs.

Notre équipe est composée de spécialistes ayant une grande expérience, une vision technique, une expertise du marché et un désir de créer des solutions sur-mesure qui permettent à nos clients d’offrir un service exceptionnel à leurs propres clients.

Depuis plus de 40 ans, notre principal marché pour les affaires européennes se situe à Lloyd’s, et depuis 2018, il est requis que tous les risques d’assurance situés dans l’Espace économique européen (EEE) soient souscrits par Lloyd’s Insurance Company S.A. (« Lloyd’s Europe »)* et non par les souscripteurs de Lloyd’s. Basée à Bruxelles, Lloyd’s Europe est autorisée et régulée par la Banque Nationale de Belgique ; il a donc été logique pour Ambris EU de s’établir et d’être régulée à Bruxelles.

Ambris EU est une filiale à part entière de AMBRIS LLP, un cabinet de courtage international basé à la City de Londres. Ambris appartient exclusivement à ses partenaires, et place ses collaborateurs au cœur de l’innovation, en leur permettant de créer des solutions réfléchies et innovantes pour nos clients. Notre expertise internationale en matière de courtage nous place dans une position unique pour répondre et nous adapter aux besoins spécifiques de nos clients.

Highlights

Our aim is to establish partnerships with speciality brokers in Europe who seek a better service through bespoke market facilities supported by first class insurers. Our team is multi-lingual with longstanding expertise in developing and establishing binding authority contracts for our regional broker clients; we have also established market lineslip arrangements which respond to individual enquiries. As the insurance marketplace and associated distribution chains become more sophisticated, our skill is to arrange contracts with underwriters best suited to our clients in order to nurture long term relationships between the parties based on trust and a mutual interest in sustainable success.
